VHeat

VHeat © is a Windows ® computer program designed to assist bridge fabricators in calculating V-heat requirements for horizontally curved steel bridge girders.

Key Features

The main features of the program are:

bulletMakes tedious V-Heat calculations a breeze.
bulletChecks for minimum bending radius requirements.
bulletSuggests support locations so as not to exceed maximum allowable bending stresses in girder flanges.
bulletCalculations and checks are as per AASHTO requirements.
bulletSupports both US customary units and metric units.
bulletProduces both a user-friendly graphical report and a text based calculations report.
bulletExceptionally user-friendly Windows graphical interface.
bulletIf US customary (ENGLISH) units are selected, the program accepts input in foot-inch, decimal feet, fractional inches, and decimal inches.
